For South Spice, a producer of Southern Thai curry paste, the goal was to create a brand identity that captured the unique and bold flavors of Southern Thai cuisine while appealing to an international market. The design solution encompassed both logo design and packaging.

The logo concept centers around three key elements: people, ocean, and moon. The "people" are represented by stylized characters inspired by "Nang Talung," the renowned Southern Thai shadow puppet tradition, lending a cultural authenticity to the brand. The "moon" is creatively visualized as a red chili pepper shaped like a crescent, subtly hinting at the spice and heat inherent in the product. The "ocean" is symbolized by stylized wavy lines, acknowledging the region's coastal influence.

These elements combine to visually represent the brand's slogan, "True Southern Thai Taste," while the overall aesthetic is presented in a modern style that resonates with a global audience. The packaging design further incorporates traditional Southern Thai Batik patterns, adding another layer of cultural richness and visual appeal. The final result is a cohesive brand identity that honors the traditions of Southern Thai cuisine while embracing a contemporary design sensibility.
